REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURE OF VIETNAM DEPENDENT VISA FOR FOREIGN SPOUSE

Vietnam dependent visa, also known as Vietnam TT visa or Vietnam family visa, is designed for spouses and children of certain foreign labor workers & and investors or of Vietnamese citizens. The visa allows them to live together with their beloved family members in Vietnam for a long period of time (up to 02 years or 03 years). This visa is a great opportunity for those who want to bring their spouse, children, or parents from overseas to Vietnam. WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A VIETNAM DEPENDENT VISA?

In accordance with Law No. 51/2019/QH14, dated November 25, 2019, the below people are eligible for a dependent visa/ relative visa in Vietnam. There are two types of dependent visas, and they will be categorized depending on the person who sponsors the application:

• 01^st type: Dependent/ Relative Visa for Spouse/Children/Parents of foreign labor workers
  - For Spouse & Children (under 18 years old): up to 02 years (~ validity of the sponsored person)
  - Sometimes, the immigration grants dependent visa for parents of foreign experts, and this visa validity is up to 06 months
   
• 02^nd type: Dependent/ Relative Visa for Spouse/Children/Parents of Vietnamese citizens
  The validity of this dependent visa is up to 02 years or 03 years.

Please kindly note that depending on the duration that your family member will be granted, they can have a TT Visa or a TT Temporary Residence Card:

• Duration up to 01 year with multiple entry -> Foreign spouse or foreign family members will be granted a visa sticker on their passport.
• Duration up 02 years or 03 years with multiple entry -> Foreign spouse or foreign family members will be granted a TRC.

DEPENDENT VISAS FOR SPOUSES OF FOREIGN LABOR WORKERS - DETAILED CHECKLIST & PROCEDURE

► Detailed document checklist:

1. Original Passport
2. Original Valid Vietnam Visa/ TRC (if any)
3. 02 photos in 2x3cm size, white background
4. Temporary Residential certificate in Vietnam
5. Consular Legalized Birth certificate/ Marriage certificate/ Family book (if documents issued by a foreign government) -> This document should be certified translation into Vietnamese
6. Documents from the sponsor person:
   + Notarized true copy of Passport
   + Notarized true copy of Temporary residence card
   + Notarized true copy of Work permit
7. Notarized true copies of the Company business registration certificate
8. Application form for dependent visa application

► Processing time: 05-07 working days (exclusive of submission date)

► Government fee: 145USD/ 02-years-TRC

► Place of submission: Immigration Management Office in the province/city where the company is headquartered.

DEPENDENT VISAS FOR SPOUSES OF VIETNAMESE CITIZENS - DETAILED CHECKLIST & PROCEDURE

► Detailed document checklist:

1. Original Passport
2. Original Valid Vietnam Visa/ TRC (if any)
3. 02 photos in 2x3cm size, white background
4. Temporary Residential certificate in Vietnam
5. Proof of relationship: Legalized Birth certificate/ Marriage certificate
   + If the document is issued by the Vietnamese government: Please provide the notarized true copy document;
   + If the document is issued by a foreign government: This document should be consular legalized and provide a Vietnamese certified translation for submission.
6. Documents from the sponsor person:
   + Notarized true copy of ID Card
   + Notarized true copy of Household book or CT07
7. Application form for dependent visa application

► Processing time: 05-07 working days (exclusive of submission date)

► Government fee: 145USD/ 02-years-TRC & 155USD/ 02-years-TRC

► Place of submission: Immigration Management Office in the province/city where the Vietnamese spouse has his/her Household registration book.
