VIETNAM VISA RENEWAL

Visa extension means that you will get a new visa extension stamp with new staying duration permission in Vietnam and it allows to stay more in Vietnam only without reentering if you leave Vietnam before your visa expired. So, it means you must apply for a new visa if you wish to come back to Vietnam after leaving.

• In order to apply for visa extension in Vietnam, your current visa has to be correspondent to your staying extending requirement and meet some requirements of Vietnam Immigration Department.

Visa renewal is similar to extension, a small difference is that you are granted a new visa stamp and visa sticker paper on your passport with the new duration permission. The stay length is valid from 1 month to 3 months depending on multiple factors like what documents and visa type you have, your nationality, the time of the year, the visa law in Vietnam changing all the time, and other stuff. Moreover, the visa renewal fee is higher than the visa extension fee because we have to pay the stamping fee and visa sticker fee for the government.

Note that if you would like to upgrade your current visa from duration of 1 month to one of 3 months or upgrade the current visa from single entry to multiple entry, you will have to go through the visa renewal process. Some notes as below:

• Is appropriate for someone who wishes to have a new visa stamp and visa sticker paper on their passport with the new duration permission, the new visa can be issued such as single or multiple entries.
• The maximum validity of visa renewal can be approved for 3 months with single or multiple entries, and up to 1 year maximum with foreigner who granted a Vietnam work permit or work permit exemption
• The staying length is valid from 1 month to 1 year depending on the purpose of entry, needs, current visa type, nationality and what documents you already have.
• The Vietnam visa renewal fee is higher than Visa Extension fee because we have to pay for visa stamping fee and visa sticker fee.
• The Vietnam visa renewal service in is ready for someone who has a valid visa with visa sticker paper and visa code of DN, LD, DT, NN1, NN2, LV.

THE ENTRY PURPOSE

CONDITIONS

LV visa

For foreigners who come to work with Vietnamese enterprises or organizations. This visa can be extended for up to 12 months.

1. Possess documents proving the status as an investor or a representative of a foreign organization investing in Vietnam as prescribed by Vietnamese law;
2. Hold documents proving relationships such as father, mother, spouse, or child with the inviting individual or guarantor;
3. Have an invitation or sponsorship from an authorized entity to work, along with a valid work permit or confirmation of exemption from the work permit requirement according to labor laws;
4. Enter the country with an e-visa and hold a valid work permit or confirmation of exemption from the work permit requirement according to labor laws.

DN visa

For foreigners who come to work with Vietnamese enterprises or organizations as experts, managers, executives, or technical workers. This visa can be extended for up to 12 months.

DT visa

For foreigners who come to invest or do business in Vietnam. This visa can be extended for up to 12 months.

LD visa

For foreigners who come to work in Vietnam under labor contracts. This visa can be extended for up to 24 months.

VR/TT visa

For foreigners who come to Vietnam to visit their relatives or for other purposes. This visa can be extended for up to six months.

GENERAL DOCUMENTS

1. The original passport
2. The visa extension application form (NA5) was signed and sealed by the sponsoring company.
3. Onlinedeclared temporary residence confirmation through the electronic environment of Vietnam immigration system
4. A copy of the Vietnam visa or the temporary residence card.

VISA TYPE’S DOCUMENTS

A copy of the work permit, the business license, the investment certificate, the invitation letter, the sponsorship letter, or other relevant documents that prove the reason and the duration of the visa extension.

A copy of documents, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, family relationship certificates, and household registration books, that prove the family relationship between the foreigner and the sponsor

REMARK

If the documents are issued by a foreign government, they must be legalized, translated, and notarized in accordance with the regulations.
