Bangladesh Visa

Citizens of most countries require a valid visa to enter Bangladesh. Type of visa and duration of stay are determined/ confirmed by the Embassy or consulate. Type and category of visa will vary according to the purpose of visit, the length of stay and bilateral arrangement with the country of the foreign national. Any change in rules and regulations made by the Government of Bangladesh will apply to issue visas. The passport must be valid for at least 6(six) months to visit Bangladesh

LIST OF COUNTRIES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE BANGLADESH VISA

The citizens of the following 23 countries are exempted from visa requirement: Barbados, Bhutan, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Jamaica, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR VISA ON ARRIVAL 

To attract the tourists and ensure them a hassle free arrival in this land of stories, the government of Bangladesh has decided to provide Visa on Arrival to the foreign nationals including those of Bangladeshi origin. Once you arrived in Bangladesh, after examining your necessary travel documents the immigration authority at the Airports and Land ports will issue Visa on Arrival for a period of maximum 30 days to the citizens of the countries mentioned below under the following conditions:

• The nationals of those countries where there is no diplomatic mission of Bangladesh may be granted visa on arrival after examining the genuineness of their visit;
• On the basis of invitation letters of interested/required body being attested by the Board of Investment/BEPZA, the foreign investors/businessmen may be allowed to issue visa on arrival. In this case, interested/inviting organization must inform in advance the arrival of the foreign visitor(s) to the immigration and passport authority.
• Only for the purpose of official duty, business, investment and tourism citizens arriving from USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Russian Federation, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, UAE, Saudi Arabia (KSA), Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and the countries of Europe may issue visa on arrival after examining and being satisfied by the immigration authority at the Airports and Land Ports;
• If any foreign national arrives in Bangladesh from a country other than his/her own country, where there is no mission of Bangladesh may be issued visa on arrival;
• Bangladeshi origin foreign citizens, their spouses and their offspring may be issued visa on arrival, on the proof of their being Bangladeshi origin;
• The staffs/officials of the foreign missions, UN or its affiliated organizations located in Bangladesh may be issued visa on arrival after examining their appointment letters or other related documents. Only UN passport holders will get such facilities gratis (free of charge).

4. Work / Employment visa;
5. Research visa;
6. Expert Visa and;
7. Student visa

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR BANGLADESH VISA APPLICATION

1. Original passport valid for at least 6(six) months to visit Bangladesh
2. Visa application form signed by the applicant
3. 2 passport photos in 4x6 cm size white background.
4. A letter of business decision
5. A letter for visa application
6. Work permit and temporary residence card applied for foreigner living in Vietnam
7. An authorized letter, in case the applicant not able to submit in person.

For business purpose providing the following documents

1. An invitation letter from sponsored company or organization in Bangladesh, this letter should be sent directly to the embassy or consulate of Bangladesh
2. A passport scanned copy of inviter

For tourist purpose proving the following documents

1. A copy of hotel reservation
2. A copy of return air-ticket

VALIDITY OF VISA
The duration of stay are determined/ confirmed by the Bangladesh Embassy or Consulate, the popular visa term is 3 month single entry and allows a stay of up to 30 days

PROCESSING TIME

The visa processing time is from 7 to 10 working days
