CHINA VISA FOR FOREIGNERS IN VIETNAM

All foreigners working, studying, doing business or living in Ha Noi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City can apply for Chinese visa with types of tourist visa, business visa, of working visa. From 2024, foreigners living in Vietnam must submit the documents for Chinese visa at 3 China visa centers in Ha Noi or Ho Chi Minh or Da Nang instead of at China Embassy in Ha Noi or China Consulate in Ho Chi Minh before. WHO NEED TO APPLY FOR CHINESE BUSINESS – TOURST VISA IN VIETNAM?

Some foreign citizens in Vietnam do not need to apply for a China tourist or business visa from Vietnam unless you meet the following visa exemption requirements:

  1. Countries whose citizens are allowed a maximum stay of 90 days: Bosnia and Herzegovina, San Marino
  2. Countries whose citizens are allowed a maximum stay of 60 days: Mauritius
  3. Countries whose citizens are allowed a maximum stay of 30 days: Bahamas, Grenada, Barbados, Belarus, Ecuador, Fiji, UAE, Tonga, Seychelles, Serbia
  4. Citizens of Singapore, Brunei and Japan holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa are allowed a maximum stay of 15 days through the ports of entry open to foreigners provided that they come to China for tourism, family visit, business or transit, and intend to stay in China for no more than 15 days. However, the following personnel of these three countries must apply for a visa in advance if:
  1. Foreigners holding ordinary passports of the countries having diplomatic relations with China and on a tour to Hong Kong or Macao, and participating in group tours to the Zhu Jiang (Pearl River) Delta Area for a stay of no more than six days organized by the travel services legally registered in Hong Kong or Macao do not need to apply for a visa. The Zhu Jiang Delta Area refers to the administrative area of the following cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, and Huizhou. For going on a tour to Shantou, the aforementioned group is required to stay within the administrative area of Shantou and leave China from there directly.
  2. Foreigners who have confirmed onward tickets and seats on international flights and directly transit through China and stay for no more than 24 hours within the airport boundaries do not need to apply for a transit visa. However, anyone desiring to go beyond the airport boundaries temporarily should obtain permission from the immigration authorities at the airport.
  3. Foreigners holding a valid Foreigner’s Permanent Residence Card of the PRC or Residence Permit for Foreigners in the PRC may enter China without a visa.
  4. Foreigners holding an APEC Business Travel Card may enter China without a visa.
  5. Citizens of countries are allowed to apply visa on arrival: Andorra, Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

Tourist Visa (L)

This visa issues to toreigners who intend to go to China as a tourist, intends to go to China for touring and sightseeing. The duration of stay (each visit) normally is 30-60 days. The requirements for tourist entry purpose: Itinerary for the whole trip; Reservation of return flight tickets and Reservation of accommodation

Business Visa (M)

China Bussines visa is issued to those who intend to go to China for doing business, commercial and trade activities. Normally valid for 30-60 days based on decision Chinese Consulate/ embassy. The business visa request a Invitation letter from Chinese business partner – must be on letterhead paper and duly signed and stamped

3 month Single-entry, double-entry or multiple-entry

Non-Commerce/ business Visa (F)

Issued to those who intend to go to China for research, lecture, scientific, cultural exchange and study tour. The duration of stay (each visit) is normally 30-90 days. The Invitation letter from Chinese inviting institution (universities, research centers etc.) – must be on letter head paper and duly signed and stamped

Work Visa (Z)

Issued to those who have obtained employment to work in China; For commercial performance; Chief representative or representative of a foreign company; Offshore oil operations; Volunteering (more than 90 days); Foreigner working in China with a Work Permit issued by the Chinese government

Family Visa (Q1)

Long term

Issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence and intend to go to China for family reunion, or to those who intend to go to China for the purpose of foster care

Issued to those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners working or studying in China, or for other private matters such as visiting friends, divorce, inheritance, adoption, marriage or medical services with the duration of stay (each visit) is normally 30-90 days

  1. Foriegners working in Vietnam:
  • Notarized true copies of Vietnam Temporary Residence Card (TRC) or Vietnam business, working or tourist visa;
  • Notarized true copies of Work Permit or Work Permit exemption certificate
  1. Proof of work in Vietnam:
  • For business owners/ shareholders: Notarized true copies of Business Registration Certification
  • For employees: Notarized true copy of Labour Contract and original leave application form
  1. Proof of entry purpose:
  • A copy of hotel booking;
  • A copy of return air-ticket
  • Itinerary for the whole trip
  1. Proof of Business entry purpose:
  • A letter of invitation and scanned copy of business registration certificate from a company in China;
  • For business owners/ shareholders: Notarized true copies of Business Registration Certification and original Letter of business decision;
  • For employees: Notarized true copies of Labour Contract, original Letter of business decision.
  1. Proof of working/ investment in Vietnam:
  • Notarized true copies of Vietnam Temporary Residence Card (TRC) or Vietnam business, working visa;
  • Notarized true copies of Vietnam Work Permit or Work Permit exemption certificate

THE REQUIREMENTS APPLIED FOR ALL APPLICANTS

  1. The validity of passport must be more than 6 months;
  2. The visa application form must be signed by the applicant in person
  3. 2 passport photos in 4x6 cm size white background, must be taken within the last 3 months;

THE REQUIREMENTS APPLIED FOR FOREIGNER SPOUSE

In case of applicants are foreigner spouse (wife/ husband and childrend) under 18 years old, they are required to accompany with their parents and provided the following documents:

Proof of family relationship:

  • Requirements for Children: the consular legalization of birth certificate or family record book.
  • Requirements for Spouse: the consular legalization of marriage certificate or family record book.

HOW LONG TO GET CHINA TOURIST/ BUSINESS VISA IN VIETNAM

  • It takes normal from 5 to 7 working days.
  • Business and tourist Visa’s valid term are 3 months single entry, stay up for 30 days.
