TYPES OF VISA PAPUA NEW GUINEA

To sell goods and services in Papua New Guinea;

To buy Papua New Guinea goods and services;

To support a major infrastructure development project as approved by the government of Papua New Guinea;

To negotiate or discuss the set-up, expansion or wind-up of a business in Papua New Guinea; or

To carry out any business with the authorized representatives of an overseas company, body or person.

Stay up to 30 days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea.

Extension is not allowed for this visa class.

Easy Visitor Permit Visa (30 days)

Holidays, sightseeing, social or recreational reasons, and to visit relatives and friends.

Allow to stay a period of thirty (30) days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea.

An extension of stay is not permitted

Easy Visitor Permit Visa (60 days)

For reasons such as holidays, sightseeing, social or recreational reasons, to visit relatives and friends.

Stay up to sixty (60) days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea.

In limited situations an extension of stay may be permitted

Journalist Visa

Undertaking paid or unpaid journalistic activities in Papua New Guinea.

This visa is valid for a single entry; and a period of stay approved by

the Papua New Guinea Office of the Prime Minister (PMO); and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

An extension of stay may be permitted but limited

Sportsperson Visitor Visa

Competing in a sporting competition or event and also use this visa if you are representing your sport in an official capacity for promotional and development purposes.

This visa is valid for a single entry; and stay Sixty (60) days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea.

Extension of stay is NOT allowed for this visa class

Tourist Visa - Own Itinerary

Visit Papua New Guinea for holiday and sight-seeing.

This visa is valid for a single entry; and stay up to Sixty (60) days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea.

An extension of stay may be allowed

Tourist Visa- Tour Package

Visit Papua New Guinea under organized tours groups for sight-seeing.

Single entry and stay up to Sixty (60) days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea.

Allowed to extend the visa

Tourist Visa - Visiting Relatives

Visiting family members, relatives in Papua New Guinea.

This visa stays up to Sixty (60) days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea, single entry

Visa extension is allowed

Yachtperson Visa

For Captain / Owner of a yacht who intend to visit Papua New Guinea.

This visa stays up to Sixty (60) days from the date of arrival in Papua New Guinea, visa single entry

Extensions can be granted once only for a maximum of thirty (30) days

REQUIREMENTS FOR VISA PAPUA NEW GUINEA

  1. Complete the Online Visa Application form for Papua New Guinea
  2. Pay the visa fee of US$50* online by using the visa/ master or JCB card
  3. Provide scanned copy of your current passports bio data page
  4. Proving a letter from business associate in Papua New Guinea indicating purpose of visit, duration of stay, location of business and proposed frequency of visits.
  5. Providing copy of your return/ongoing ticket.
  6. Providing evidence of funds (if required).
  7. Other documents will provide basing on the entry purpose
